DRY EYE ASSESSMENT

WHAT IS DRY EYE?

Dry eye is a common condition that can cause discomfort, irritation, blurred vision, and a persistent gritty or burning sensation. Our Dry Eye Assessment helps identify the underlying cause of your symptoms and guide effective, long-term treatment.

TEAR FILM ANALYSIS

The tear film plays a vital role in keeping the eyes comfortable and vision clear. During a Dry Eye Assessment, we analyse how stable your tear film is and how long it remains intact between blinks.

This allows us to:

  • Measure tear film breakup time

  • Visualise areas where the tear film breaks down

  • Identify whether dry eye is caused by tear deficiency or rapid evaporation

DETAILED EYE SURFACE IMAGING

Using high-resolution colour imaging, we examine the surface of the eye and surrounding structures in detail.

This helps us to:

  • Assess eyelid and eye surface health

  • Identify inflammation or redness

  • Detect conditions such as blepharitis or meibomian gland dysfunction

  • Grade findings using recognised clinical scales
